Zilla

Today Jackson had an appt. to get some fillings done on his teeth. Dr. Keith had suggested we do nitros oxide (laughing gas) to make him calm. Well all was going well, so we thought, he was telling Jackson that the mask was like Darth Vaders which Jack is really into right now. The he gave him the shots and a minute later Jackson was going crazy, crying, kicking, trying to get up and take off the mask. We tried to calm him down but he wouldn't so we had to turn off the gas and go home. It was the worst, I was so stressed, the whole time thinking next time Stephen is taking him. I felt so bad for Keith, and I am sure all the girls in the office thought my child is crazy, since he couldn't even be drugged to calm down. Oh well, maybe it'll go better next time, if I decide I can handle taking him back. He was also numb for the next couple of hours which he hated.

That's horrible! I'm sure that would be really scary for a little guy, though. It probably happens all the time.

You should have bribed him...if he was a good little darth vader then could come to our house! No harm in a little persuasion right. Better luck next time.

Oh my goodness I totally know how you feel! Austin was my WORST Dentist visitor. I ended up making Devin take him to all his appointments b/c I couldn't take it. Devin would have to physically pin him down while the Dr. worked on him. It was the SADEST!!!

Hey is that my bro-in-law? How crazy. You should try taking him to a pediatric dentist. They give kids this juice stuff that makes them calm down and it so much easier with all the toys and what not. Good luck girl.

Oh, I'm so sorry. I am dreading taking my kids to the dentist, but I know I have to sooner then later. He does look cute though with the little mask.
