Halloween 09

This was probably my favorite Halloween thus far. Living back "in town" is so much better we didn't have to drive in and find a place to "trick or treat".

To kick off the holiday we had our traditional pumpkin carving at Grandma C's. Hudson wasn't really into gutting it. but still had fun. Jackson did it pretty much all by himself. He did a great job of drawing his face on the pumpkin. For Halloween night we had a block party ( which has kind of been my dream since I got married to do a Chili party and then go trick or treating) after that I took all the kids up the street. Hudson had so much fun singing Trick or Treat everywhere, he always made sure both his brother and sister got a candy as well. Presley loved it too running to the door for her piece of candy. Jackson spent the rest of the night on a trailer with all his cousin treating down the neighborhood. While I for the first time got to pass out candy at my own house!

Halloween Day Steve took the boys to the State Fair my my family. Every game that J played he won, he was on a huge roll, my dad couldn't believe it he even one the pop bottle game on the second ring with that one he won this Ginormous Dragon. He won so much stuff( 2 huge plush balls, 2 basketballs, 1 dragon and a wolf) that they had to send the boys in a different car on the way home. Well he loved that dragon but I finally convinced him to sell it, he made $10 and $ 20 for the ball, he gave the wolf to his cousin. As you can see we could not have all that stuff in our house.

My Birthday boy. Jackson favorite thing to do is go on "Treasure Hunts", he always asking the baby-sitters to do them or trying to get his grandma or me. So for his birthday's I started making him get the presents through a treasure hunt.

We had Huddy give him a towel ( Hudson has the same one with his name on it) so when Jack opened it he thought Hud gave him his old towel and he still acted so happy and grateful it was the sweetest. Though it was a new one with his name on it, when he found that out he was a lot more happy.

For the past year J has been saving up all his money for a Nintendo DS lite. We said we would pay for half for his B-day present. So Stephen went out to get it and not suprisingly came home with a Wii. He thought it would benefit the whole family and J would like it more.

Well he was totally expecting the DS so here is the look on his face when he opened the Wii. He was so excited and loves it .

I can't believe how grown up he is getting he is in school he rides his bike there, he loves playing with his friends. He is getting so good at reading, he especially loves to draw and I might be biased but he is soo Good. I love all the stories behind the pictures. He is a great big brother.

September and October

Steve took the boys to a Pre season Suns game. They had tickets to pretty good seats but they stayed up at the top with the "cool stuff"

August Happenings

One perfectly gorgeous afternoon we had a little golf lesson in the yard. By the end of it most of the neighbors had joined in. It was one of those perfect days.

One night we got home to a great rain, and the Uphams in town for the night so it was a fun filled night of water football. J was out right away since he was too cold but not Huddy he was all for it freezing and all. another perfect night in the neighborhood.

Well more fun stuff, we decided to take on the huge task of painting our house ourself, well that will probably be the only time we do that ( we still have unfinished parts). But we did paint the majority of it in 3 days. for only $200 so it saved us a couple thousand dollars, worth it!

First Day of Kindergarten

I never thought the day would come when I would have a child in full time school. Well it's here. We missed the first 3 days of school while we were in Alaska. I have been quite anxious for J to start school. I knew I would miss him. But that boy wears me out. It is a nightmare trying to keep him entertained all day so I was excited for him to start school. Well like many times before J woke up on the wrong side of the bed and had a bit of a bad start. He was not happy during the pictures as you can see. But he did love his first day. It helps when you have 10 first cousins at the same school as you, 4 in your grade and 1 in your class.

I would love to say J has loved school and done great but the first month was pretty rough, I had a few calls from the teacher about behavior and was getting worried, but she said she thought he just needed some used to kindergarten since they do a lot less play time and a lot more work than pre k and preschool. She was right and he has gotten a lot better.

I'M Back! Alaska Vacay

Sorry for the Blogging Hiatus, but every time I got on to the new post page my internet would shut down. So I am so seriously behind and not looking forward to catching up so here I go with probably the longest post.

Back in August we went on a week long cruise with my family, we took the boys and left Pres with Lance and Suzy ( who had a blast so much so that she barely wanted me when I came home) So the vacation was perfect I loved every minute of it. The plane ride was the best we have ever taken with the boys they both just sat and watched a movie the whole time. When we got to our room we had a bit of a Wow factor, we had a Penthouse room with balcony and attached mini suites. ( nicest rooms I've ever stayed in ) The whole week we had the most amazing weather never were we freezing and it never rained. It was such a great place the scenery was perfect I hope to go back one day

My Baby is 1!!!

Where to begin. First I am so thankful for this little girl, as soon as she was born I felt complete, I knew I had been waiting for her. She is so much fun, such personality. She loves to talk/yell at you in her jibberish. She is so loving and always wants to give loves, especially to her bro. Huddy! She had been on the verge of walking for months and she waited till I was at the store to start walking for my mom. She loves to dance, as soon as the music starts she goes for it. She is also obsessed with Phones, she sneaks into my room and gets our house phone and starts having full on conversations ( yelling into it) she does the same think with our cell phones. She is a bit of a scared cat, she hates to be swung or thrown in the air. She loves the pool and will just sit in the baby boat forever. She loves shoes and her new babies she got for her b-day. She now also loves getting her hair done. ( which may be due in part to aunt suzie). She is my Chubs, I never knew what chubby baby was until she came and she is too cute. There is definitely more of her to love.

She also loves to throw her tantrums, when she gets made she flings herself onto the floor face first and cries until she realizes no one cares. She loves to steal my chapstick or anything that looks like it and rub it all over her face. Her new fav. thing is jumping. She will swing her arms back and then clap them as she gets ready then gets this crazy face and jumps it is the best . Every morning when she wakes up she turns her mobile on to listen to the music and starts talking, never cries just does that until someone comes and gets her. There are a million things to say about her but that is all I can think of right now. I love her.

Her Purple Party- I designed the party around the purple cupcake necklace I made at a Bead Diva party. I then made her a purple TuTu and well bought and made everything else purple to go with it.

Cabin Trip Numero Dos

The end of July we decided to take another trip back to the cabin. This time my girlfriends came, I also took a couple of my nephews. We had a blast the kids played great and we girls got to relax for the most part ( there were 3 babies under 1) we ate super Yummy food so much so that I don't think I came back the same weight even though we did work out a bit. The only bad part of the trip was all the diapers we had 6 kids still in diapers and let me tell you that is a lot of CRAP! Thanks for making it such a great trip girls, we will for sure be doing it again.

Ten Years in the Making!

Yes folks for Ten Years I had been looking forward to my Reunion. Apparently I lead a boring life and this was the only thing I was excited for! While I LOVED high school I wasn't Miss Popular so why I wanted to go so bad is beyond me. For the last 6 months I postponed cutting my hair, so that I could show up with my Long Locks ( which I never had in HS) I told Steve he could stay home to save $50 and a boring night of being ditched. Ang was my date for the evening and we met up with my Gals. It was a great night I loved seeing my old pals but I really wish more people had come, the kind of people I haven't seen since graduation or for a while mainly MEGS! I did get to see Lupe which made my night. Afterwards me and the Girls headed to MHS friday night hot spot Applebees where we inhaled in 3 desserts and 2 baskets of fries. Can't wait for the 20yr. I am going to have to do some mad recruiting

Wicked N Change

For mine and my sisters birthday's this year my dad took us to see Wicked. None of us had ever seen it and well needless to say it was AMAZING!

Every year before we go on a vacation we get out our change bucket count it up and cash it in, for spending money on the trip. Stephen LOVES to count money and the boys are quickly beginning to share the love.

Independence Day

For the 4th we headed over to EAGER one of my favorite places. My grandma is from there so we get to see lots of relatives and have a great time in the cool weather. My fav. is the parade in the morning where all my cousins are staked out at the church where there is breakfast and fun.

Cabin Days!

A couple of weekends ago we took a trip up to my dad's cabin with my Mom and Jill and her kids. It was so much fun, the weather was PERFECT and the kids had a great time playing together. We grown ups also got to play games and watch SYTYCD.

and miss Pres started walking, my mom was the first to see her and keeps reminding me. It was such a great trip I am sure glad the Tylers were able to come before they left for VB :(

Fear The Hop

This year J got to do the MHS b-ball camp put on by the team. He loved every minute of it, which had to do a lot with the fact that he got to do it with his cousins. He would come home almost every day and show me all the cool stuff he learned like. " Triple Threat" and " Slides" shooting, figure eight! He was so proud of himself and got really into it. I must say I think he improved a ton as well. Thanks to all the great coaches. At the end of the season the put on a game for the kids. Complete with music, lineup, outfits and all. It was so neat to watch. J was constantly trying to steal the ball, when he wasn't doing anything he like to fold his arms.

Here are some things we did this summer.

Hudson took swim lessons, which he loved he was so good and would just smile the whole time, making sure everyone was watching him.

His fav. part was getting the rings which he was Great at.

We took a trip to the mall park one day to get out of the heat. This was Presley's first time.

She was Miss Popular out there, all the kids crowding around to play with her, too cute.

One night after Hudson had gone to bed and brushed his teeth I went to check in on him and I saw a big black mouth, so I looked closer. He had stuffed and entire cookie in there. Crumbs were EVERYWHERE! I call him my little Cookie Monster, he is constantly sneaking into the pantry closing the door behind him, getting a handful of cookies which he puts behind his back as he comes out. He is just too cute to stop!

And here is my cutie now. He barely even looks like himself. He did great though. No whining or fighting it. Which is a nice change. Since J's first haircut to this day he still fights it the whole time.

The Surprise

For my mom's big birthday we threw a Surprise party. Surprise parties are a lot harder than I thought, trying to invite the people that they want there and getting ahold of them is the hardest part. The day before she got sick and said she was probably going to call in for work the next day  ( that would have ruined everything) but luckily it all worked out and she was completely surprised. Luckily I was able to get a bbsitter all day so we could get it all done and was able to enjoy the party. Happy 35th Birthday Mom we love you!

A Mother's Day Luau

For Mother's Day my mom wanted us to all go to a Luau a friend of hers was putting on the Sat. before Mother's day. It was a ton of fun and just like a real Luau. The food was even better then the one in Hawaii. ( course I was just barely prego then and threw everything up so who knows) 

I didn't get a picture but J got called up a couple of times first he was asked to drink Coconut Milk ( which he didn't like but was a great sport about it) 

Then they had him come learn a dance which he did great at.

It was a great Mother's Day I got a Huge breakfast made by my Husband he even did the best job ever cleaning up ( now I know that he really knows how to clean so he is in trouble now)

For dinner he prepared all by himself a Crab Dinner with Fresh corn on the cob. We ate and ate till we were stuffed, thanks babe it was a GREAT Mother's day!

These are a Few of my Favorite Things

This year we started a tradition (that we stole from the Worthen's) which is "Favorite Things Night" Each of us it to pick something that is our favorite, that we love, use all the time and then bring one for everyone. It is also a girls night where we go out to dinner and spend the whole night together. For dinner we all put our name in a hat ( a Cummard tradition) and whoever got drawn gets to pick dinner. I got picked and chose CPK. 

After dinner we went back to Cheryl's and let the exchanging begin. 

First up was Sarah she chose MFY! 

Next Suzie- Fabulouso cleaner, scrapbook paper and accesories

Kanoe gave everyone her favorite snack foods! and some awesome wash cloths

I was next and forgot to take a pic. but I gave a couple of reusable Grocery bags that I love, Oreos and Oxi Clean spray that I cannot live without. 

Summer gave us each a Precious Moments which she collects each was a different letter and a cute Poem about why she loves us attached to the letter so cute.  

Cheryl gave us an Egg grater, a cd and the cutest Handwriting book.

Syd gave everyone a Red Velvet Sprinkles Cupcake her fav. she also had a few banana bread ones for those of me who do not like red velvet (thanks syd)

Can't wait for next year I am already planning my next thing. 5.7.09

Family Golf Night

A few weeks ago Stephen took it upon himself to plan a big date night for his family.  We went to Crossroads Indoor Virtual Golf. Everyone was able to come and it was so much fun. It was everyone's first time (except for Steve's ) doing the virtual golf. We played as couple's and hit every other ball. It was such a fun time I have never liked golfing so much. It was a little hard to get used to but once we got the hang of it we did alright. Stephen and I even ended up winning best score. 

I didn't get everyone hitting but I did get most of the girls. Does'nt Kanoe  look like a pro! 5.2.09
