Schnepf Farm Part 1- Fieldtrip

Yesterday was Jackson's class fiedltrip to Schnepf farms. This year he has some close friends that we were able to hang out with there so I am sure it made it alot better than last year when it was just me and him walking around the park. Thanks to Mel and Brooke for for making it a way better trip, course the boys kind of took control and showed us around the farm. From the minute we got there they were hugging like a bunch of nerds and holding hands running around! They got a new ride this year a Rollercoaster, and Jackson was so excited to go on it, Kai and Owen however needed some convincing. They went on all by themselves and their faces were priceless, amazed, terrified, thrilled etc. As soon as they got off they were already wanting to go again. I guess they liked it. We rode the train and petted the nasty animals, the bad part of the trip was that it was super hot and we had no sunscreen so we got fried ( poor Huddy and his glowing skin got the worst of it.) After all that was over all the boys got to pick out their free pumpkin in the patch ( we took pictures first with the big pumpkins but they had to get the little ones). It was a great fieldtrip though I wish it was a little cooler.

Hanging with the Sloan's

On Wednesday after we did our taxes ( Ouch), the boys and I headed over to see Angie's new pad. It looks great, we decided to go to the park since it was so hot in their house because they didn't have any fans up and couldn't do it themselves. The park was great and the weather to. Plus walking in Agritopia is awesome, the neighborhood is so gorgeous that it just feels nice. Stephen called and I told him that I was at Angies and wasnt going to go home for a little bit since the traffic back to QC at 5:00 is horrendous, I asked if he wanted to come by and put in A fan while we wait, course I didn't know they had 5 fans. He came, and while the boys put up the fans, we went and got food. I introduced them to Joe's Farm grill which is in walking distance of their house, and got the sweet potatoe fries! Yummy! It was a great night, I am so glad they moved their, since Angie has been married they haven't lived even remotely close to us. First we were in Mesa and them in Paradise Valley then they moved to Suprise and then we move to QC and them to Phoenix. Now we are the closest we have ever been, and it is the best we can finally hang out instead of just talking on the phone all the time. I just hope we can get closer to them ( that is if we ever sell our house) Here are some pics. Ang made Huddy try on Maddux's old costume.

Our Sweet Tooth

Nearly everyday after dinner I make some kind of treat. I have a huge sweet tooth and unfotunately thanks to me so does Jackson, luckily he loves vegetables. Last week Jack a I got out our new aprons ( courtesy of She's Got It ALL!) and proceeded to make a super yummy dessert that my sis-in-law made up in Cali, ( which is just replacing choc. corn chex with rice krispies when making the rice krispie treats) Well it was awesome and of course we all munched away while watching the OFFICE.

Final Rundown

Sorry I missed the last of the shows, with Jackson's many parties I kind of forgot. So here goes

The Office- Pretty much the best comedy on television. Is is hilarious, if you are not already watching this show then you should start. I guarantee if you rent the first season and watch it you will love it. If you are already watching it you do not need convincing to stay, because you know how absolutely hilarious it is, and how everytime you talk about it, you laugh. The last episode about Ryan coming back was too funny Kelly and Ryan's relationship is my favorite. Pam and Jim together oh I love it they are so cute, and she has gotten a lot cuter on the show.

My Name is Earl- This show is great, so funny and Jamie Presely is the best.

Grey's Anatomy- I love this show and loved the Season Premiere but the whole "Bambi" thing was kind of lame. I also really miss Addison.

Ugly Betty- I just started watching this show this summer and rented the last season. I love it, I love all the characters and it is so LOL funny. This is one of my new favorites.

Big Shots- this show is good, a bit dirty though. I do love all the guys in it, especially my favorite Michael Vartan from ( Never Been Kissed and Alias)

Smallville- I know I love WB shows ,and I still love Smallville it just gets better unlike 7th Heaven that just got worse. I loved it and can't wait to watch more.

Supernatural- More WB, I love how they use all their character and just put them in new shows, the boys are so cute, and I love Supernatural shows, so I love it.

Bionic Woman- this show was o.k. I thought the acting wasn't that good and the plot a little lame. Though I may continue to watch it because well frankly I do that.

Las Vegas- Great, except for James Caan is gone and I loved him but to take his place is Tom Selleck who doesn't love him. I love this show.

Ghost Whisperer- Love it, I like these kinds of shows.

Numbers- Great show , about which takes math to solve the FBI's problems. Great characters and very interesting.

Desperate Housewives- Loved it, I love all the new secrets we get to find out.

Brothers and Sister- such a great show, the only part I don't like is the gay stuff, but it is a keeper.

Sorry these aren't more detailed but you can see I like pretty much all the shows I watch and I watch a lot. If you have any that you think I would like just let me know. I love to watch new things.

By the way I watched Chuck and I love it, he is such a funny guy.

My 4 Year Old

I just wanted to write some stuff down about Jackson now that he is 4 yrs. old. First off time flys by way too fast. It seems like he was only a baby for such a small amount of time. This year has been great. It is amazing how every year he grows so much and accomplishes new things all the time. He has learned how to write his name, get dressed, buckle himself in, be a great big brother. He is also so helpful around the house, he takes out the diapers, helps me get dinner ready, sets the table, clean up after himself, put up his laundry, and help his dad with the yard work. He has been the best big brother, I never could have imagined he would do so well as the big brother, he was an only child for over 3 years and was a little co-dependant. When Hudson first arrived he was a little jealous and agressive but after a couple of months he settled right in, he is constantly helping me out with him and making sure his brother is happy and comfortable. They follow eachother around, I love it. Jackson is very accepting of people, he is also a hugger, he loves to hug anyone friends, his teacher. Sometimes I can have to pry him off. I gave him a little questionarre 2 wks ago so I could remember his thougts at this age here are some questions.

COCO

No I am not talking about the Gorilla. When Jackson was younger he used to call my brother Colin, Coco, we don't know why but we continue to call him this. Yesterday was Colin's birthday but my internet was down so this birthday wish is a day late, so I will make it extra good. Colin is 2 years younger than me, but 3 in school so we didn't have the opportunity to go to school together past elementary. I really wish I had since my brother is such a stud, he has always been a ladies man even when he was little he had his first girlfriend about 10 yrs. before I had my first boyfriend (pathetic I know). Colin is a real competitor who hates to loose and loves to argue, which since I love to argue too we are constantly arguing, in a happy way. Colin is super handsome, and often gets mistaken for being chinese/mexican. He loves GI Joes and is still seen playing with them. Colin is such a great uncle, since he got back from his mission when Jackson was 1 year old, Colin has been the best. Always playing with the boys and taking Jackson places. Colin is such a great brother. There have been so many times in my life where he was really there for me, no matter what. Love you Coco hope you had a great B-day.
Here are a couple of pics of my bro, I wished my scanner worked because he was the cutest little kid you have ever seen. Even when his eyes were swollen shut from the chicken pox that I gave him.

Jackson's 5 day Birthday

Jackson started off his birthday this year on Friday for his Star Wars Sleepover Party! It was so much fun, the whole day he could not way for everyone to get there and to show his friends the cake. Which I decided to make after all the cakes I looked at were pretty lame and I thought I could make a cheaper one with toys on it that he can keep for less money. H loved the spaceship I put on the cake, he played with it all day until I made him give it to me so we could put it on the cake and as soon as we ate the cake he wanted it back to play with. So the party consisted of a bunch of boys playing Light Sabers, Jumping in the Bouncer and hitting golf balls ( which got a little dangerous so we took the clubs away) They roasted hot dogs for dinner, Killed a Darth Vader pinata and ate cake and ran around being boys. I actually think it was a way easy party because it was boys, they required no enertaining. During the Pinata the kids used their light sabers, no one even made a dent in it till Cooper who was last had the bright idea to turn the light saber around to induce maximum force, which it did. After the kids went home that weren't sleeping over the night got a whole lot easier. The boys put their p.j.'s on and layed down for Star Wars. They were all so good, Jackson was even passing around his space ship so everyone got a chance to play with it. by 10:00 all of the boys were sleeping except for Jackson, which wasn't a shocker he always stays up for the whole movie, he even went and ate some more cake.

Here are the kids scavenging for the candy.

What is a birthday party withought a tantrum or 2. Luckily there were only 2 breakdowns that night from Jackson.

His super awesome cake

Jackson seems to have recieved some help blowing out the candles from Parker and Brody

Jackson eating cake while the rest of the boys are sleeping. Thats my boy

Saturday the next morning his cousin was up by 6:30 and got the rest of them up, after that they just played outside again. I gotta tell you it was a pretty easy party considering. Jackson had a great time. Later that day Jackson went shopping with Grandma C, Yo & M for their birthday's. Where they get to pick out gifts with an alloted amount of money ( Cheryl is a school teacher and always looking for an opportunity for the children to learn) Jackson thought this was so cool, he came home with one gift and Cheryl wraps the rest.

On Sunday we had dinner for Colin, Heather, Jackson and Lance ( my stepdad). Since all of their Birthday's were in a week of eachothers.

Eating breakfast with his toys

Dancing with his friend who plays his favorite song "I like to Move it Move it" from the movie Madagascar

My mom with Jackson and his gifts

Lance, Jackson, Heather and Colin

Monday was Jackson's actual birthday, when he woke up we had his presents for him on the couch ( which is how we always did it in my family) then we took him to AH-SO for his B-day lunch he LOVES sushi. My dad, jenny, colin, heather, uncle teddy, and travis all came. It was so great the waitress Kim at AH-SO loves Jackson ( they really know our family since Stephen is pretty much a regular) they even made him fruit cupcakes out of oranges, pineapple and cherries with an onion flower and then proceeded to sing to him. Jackson loved it. I asked him what he wanted to do after and he wanted to play with his friends and cousins but most of them were at school so I called Jill up so Jack could play with Brody.

His new t-ball glove

His new apron for my little chef

Tuesday the last day of birthday wishes, he got to bring a treat to school and they sang to him and he got a crown. Later that night it was Yo & Ms birthday party at BOUNCE-U. This place is great they do everything for you. All of the kids loved it, so now Jackson's birthday festivities are over except for the fact that he still has not gotten his gifts from Grandma Cheryl which he asks about every single day all day. It is driving me a little nuts.

Happy Birthday Heather

Today is my sister-in-law Heather's Birthday. She has now been in our family almost a year and it has been so much fun. Colin is the only one of my siblings married, getting new sisters and brothers is the best, I love that our family is now starting to grow. Heather is super fun, a great baker and very fashionable, I am constantly copying her style. If I had not had her in Pennysylvania list last trip, I would have gone crazy. I am so glad Colin picked you Heather, Have a great B-day. We love you!

Rundown #3 Wednesday Night

So I am finaly done with my shows from Wed. night, well I still have Bionic Woman on my other T.V. but wont have time to watch that for today.

Criminal Minds- a great show, especially if you are into crime shows. It is a really different where they focus on Criminal Profiling. Though I think they might be losing one of their best characters.

Private Practice- Grey's Anatomy spinoff. I love Addison Shepherd so I really enjoyed it plus who doesn't love Taye Diggs and Tim Daly (Wings). The episode was great and I can't wait to see more.

OFFICE is tonight Wahoo!!!!!!

You better watch.

Here is Jackson doing his homework today, I am so glad he loves to do it. He is getting so good at writing his name and cuttting, glueing, sorting, patterns and so much more

Jackson is so excited for his Birthday Party this Friday night, it is his first kids only party and he wanted a Star Wars sleepover ( since his cousins Tug and Talbot had a sleepover last year). Last week we went shopping for party supplies and he loved it, when we got home he had to show his dad all the stuff and then put it up, he also wanted to make a list of what we are going to do at the party, he really wants to be involved in the planning process. He keeps going into the closet and getting the pinata out. Yesterday I bought candy for it and told him about it , so he immediately wanted to put it in. I really hope the party goes well since he is so super excited. 10 boys sounds like a bit of a nightmare but I think I am just as excited.
